In the meantime, I've been praying another novena to St. Therese, who is rapidly becoming one of my favorite saints (after Our Lady, of course), if only because I feel like I get some kind of acknowledgement/response when I pray a novena to her. All too often, when I pray, it can feel like I'm talking to myself. When I pray a St. Therese novena, though, something ALWAYS happens. (see my post about my last experience with a St. Therese novena) In case you are unfamiliar, when you pray a novena to St. Therese, you are supposed to receive a rose in some way (whether in a digital card, a new goddaughter named Rose - as happened to a friend of mine, or an actual rose) either during, or right after you finish the novena. It's supposed to be St. Therese's way of letting you know that your prayer was heard, and she presented it to God on your behalf. It's just nice to have a tangible way to know that you aren't just talking to yourself when you pray. Anyway, I started the novena on September 22nd, and this last Monday at Catholic Schoolhouse, one of "my girls" brought me two flowers, one of which was a beautiful rose. During that same class, another one of "my girls" pointed out to me that she had a St. Therese braid that day (apparently, she found a picture of St. Therese as a little girl, and had her mother copy the hairstyle). Pretty cool. I don't know yet, if either of the two things I asked St. Therese for help on will come out the way I asked, but I'll keep you posted. :-)
Then, this afternoon, I noticed these tiny bumps all over my face. Mostly on the left side of my face, but some also on my forehead and the right side of my face. They're flesh colored, but you can see them. They almost look like a bunch of tiny hives all over, except that they aren't pink/red, and they don't really itch. Very strange. Looking forward to hanging out with a friend tomorrow who used to be an ER nurse. I think I'll ask her about them, if they're still there...very strange.
Anyway, hope everything is going well for all of you! Congratulations to one of my friends/readers, who welcomed a new daughter this week! So excited for you all!
God bless!
