Then, today at Mass, I kept finding myself looking at all the new babies and pregnant bellies around me. It was tough, but I survived it. Finally got home, and Emma is all sass and attitude. *sigh* Hopefully, tomorrow will be better.
God Bless,

Today (approximately), we should have been welcoming our fourth child, and first son into the world. Instead, it looks to those around us to be a day like any other day. I'm sad, of course, but I think I'm holding it together pretty well. Yesterday was my husband's family reunion, which I usually enjoy. That was really hard. There were a couple of small babies, and a little girl who was about 2 months older than Charlotte would be. Her parents had brought a birthday cake for her, and I just kept looking at her, thinking that Charlotte would probably be running around after her, trying to keep up with her and the other kids. That, combined with the frequent rain, and abundant bees drove me down to the basement, where Emma was hanging out with the kids around her age. I stayed down there until it was almost over. When I finally came up, one of my husband's uncles came up to me, and told me to try and make the next one a boy. It was all I could do to smile and nod. After all, we had a boy (however briefly), who should've been being born around now.
